View:310 Pancakes are a popular staple across many markets. When scaling up to continuous industrial pancake manufacturing, your choice of metal mesh conveyor belt directly affects bake consistency, product quality and how often your line needs to stop for cleaning or repairs. Food-safe stainless steel mesh belts are standard equipment for pancake tunnel ovens, cooling conveyors and product transfer sections.
This is the go-to belt inside pancake tunnel ovens. Built from SUS304 or SUS316L stainless steel, its woven open structure lets hot air and heat pass through from above and below. Steam escapes quickly so pancakes brown evenly and do not stick to the belt surface. It holds its shape well even with long exposure to high oven heat and handles thermal expansion reliably. It’s easy to wash down between batches and meets food contact hygiene requirements.
Flat flex wire belts are mostly used right after baking. The relatively flat wire surface supports soft, freshly baked pancakes without tearing or warping them. It tracks smoothly and can follow gentle bends on your conveyor layout. Many pancake facilities use flat flex belts to move baked goods, drain extra oil and start initial cooling before stacking.
Ladder belts work best on cooling tunnels and light transfer runs. The open ladder structure boosts airflow, pulling heat and moisture away fast. This prevents condensation that can make pancakes damp and soggy. Chain-driven ladder belts have low friction and decent wear resistance, matching medium-speed pancake production lines.
Some compact pancake plants pick spiral wire mesh belts. Locked spiral wires combined with cross rods offer good flexibility and heat resistance. They fit shorter baking zones and draining sections nicely. A big plus: damaged sections can be replaced locally instead of swapping the whole belt.
SUS304: The default option for most pancake baking and cooling lines. Food safe, heat resistant and budget-friendly.
SUS316L: Use this if your cleaning routine uses acidic chemicals, or your workshop stays humid and corrosive for extended belt life.
Plastic belts cannot survive the sustained high heat inside baking tunnels. Stainless steel mesh stands up to high temperatures, resists oil and grease buildup, and works with hot water, steam or CIP cleaning. The open mesh drains excess batter and oil off pancake surfaces, keeping texture and color consistent. Less sticking means less product waste and fewer unexpected line halts.
We tailor belt width, mesh opening, wire gauge and side chain setups to match your existing tunnel ovens, cooling conveyors and pancake stacking machinery. Our welded belts run steady and cut downtime for food processors.
